Time flies. This year, we live in even stranger times than the last time I posted here. Your Charity Travelers have laid low, living a rather bourgeois life. This was caused by a lack of energy and frankly, no idea how to make a positive impact in the crazy world we inhabit today. I've been following the news lately and I'm worried about Greenland, Venezuela, Iran on top of the ongoing crises in Ukraine, Taiwan, Congo, Sudan, Yemen. The world feels different. Can the US uphold her democracy? Trump has won in 2024 in fairly fair elections. Recently, he has announced that he won't accept defeat in coming November's midterms. In the Netherlands, the editor-in-chief of an influential left wing newspaper calls Trump an even greater danger than Hitler. I find this historically inaccurate and rhetorically counterproductive.
I listen to the news to a trap beat. I generate the news overview using chatgpt and let Suno render it into a 6 minute song. I know, it is excentric. But I cannot be the only person for whom it kinda works.
I focus on writing, with several novels and poetry books in the making. Yeon is currently home in South Korea on a family visit.
